Dr Mounika Penmethsa

Gynaecologist 

Dr Mounika Penmethsa is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. She is committed to providing compassionate, personalised care and believes that exceptional healthcare begins with kindness, trust and open communication.

She completed her specialist training, gaining experience across metropolitan and regional Victorian hospitals. She is currently undertaking an Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) Fellowship at OGB Ballarat, further developing her expertise in minimally invasive (keyhole) gynaecological surgery.

Her clinical interests include adolescent gynaecology, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, pelvic pain, infertility, abnormal cervical screening, pelvic organ prolapse, contraception and menopause. She believes in taking the time to listen, explain treatment options clearly and support women to make informed decisions about their health.



Outside of medicine, Mounika enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, practicing yoga, travelling and discovering regional Victoria. She treasures family life and values the balance and perspective it brings to both her personal and professional life.
